 incial terracotta water jug\, traditionally known as a gargoulette or cru
 che\, sourced from the Provence region of Southern France.\nThe jug featu
 res a vibrant yellow-ochre glaze across its upper portion\, contrasting b
 eautifully with the rustic\, unglazed chocolate-brown terracotta body. It
  retains its matching lid and has a sculptural overhead ring handle\, sid
 e stabilizing handle and distinct pouring spout.\nApproximately 18” high 
 including the overhead handle and 10” wide at the fullest part of the bod
 y.\nExcellent antique condition with authentic patina\, overall glaze cra
 zing and historic glaze flakes and chips around the rim\, spout and lid e
 dge. These imperfections are consistent with its age and original utilita
 rian use. The piece is structurally solid\, with no major structural crac
 ks or known modern repairs. Please review all photographs for its exact c
 osmetic condition.\nA striking piece of 19th-century French pottery that
